Congratulations, Scott Frauenheim! LGC Fellow!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news from the Distinctive Schools community! Our CEO, Scott Frauenheim, has been selected as a fellow for Leadership Greater Chicago’s 40th Class of the Signature Fellows Program. This prestigious program is renowned for bringing together some of Chicago's most promising leaders to address the city's most pressing issues and drive transformative change. 

Leadership Greater Chicago (LGC) is the region’s premier convener, connector, and mobilizer of bold leaders to effect transformative civic impact across Greater Chicago. Each year, LGC selects a diverse group of professionals who are committed to making a difference in their communities. The program immerses participants in the major socioeconomic challenges facing Chicago and its surrounding areas, fostering collaboration to develop innovative solutions. LGC's impressive network includes nearly 1,500 fellows, including both Signature and Daniel Burnham Fellows, who are leading bold, transformative change across various sectors.

Scott’s selection for this program is a testament to his dedication, vision, and leadership in the education sector. Scott has a vision for Chicago, driven through equitable, joyful education, "I am honored to join the Leadership Greater Chicago Signature Fellows Program Class of 2025 and excited to engage with an incredible group of leaders from the corporate, nonprofit, government, and education sectors. Together, we will work towards building a better Chicago for all."

The Leadership Greater Chicago Signature Fellows Program is unique in its emphasis on cross-sector collaboration. By bringing together leaders from diverse backgrounds—including business executives, nonprofit leaders, government officials, and education innovators—the program creates a rich environment for exchanging ideas and developing comprehensive solutions to complex problems. This diverse cohort and network of alumni will enable Scott to gain new perspectives and forge strong partnerships that can drive meaningful change in Chicago and beyond. This experience will undoubtedly enhance his ability to lead Distinctive Schools and contribute to the broader Chicago community.
