Eighth Graders from all Distinctive Schools CICS campuses attended our High School fair today! Students had the chance to talk with representatives from high schools around Chicago, hear from alumni about their high school experience and participate in workshops to prepare them for the application process. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this an amazing day!

We want to extend a huge thank you to the D'Addario Foundation- earlier this year we received an amazing grant and donation of drumsticks! Our students love using these to learn about rhythm and beat in music class!
7th and 8th graders in Makerspace completing a design challenge! Student teams finished creating their wind-proof houses and were ready to test their weight-bearing bridges🏠💨 All of the teams won first place in this challenge because all of the houses withstood the “windstorm” aka a hair dryer on high😄
Distinctive Schools is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! This month, we honor and recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the United States. Stay tuned this month to see all the ways we are celebrating in our classrooms!
