Jade and Joy, CICS Prairie students holding their published books!

Black History Month is about honoring the past and inspiring the future—and CICS Prairie students Jade and Joy are doing just that! These young authors and entrepreneurs are making history of their own.

Their first book, "Lemons with Love," shares the story of how they started a lemonade stand to raise money for tickets to the Barbie Night at a Chicago Sky basketball game, inspiring other young people to dream big and take action. Building on that success, Jade and Joy created a workbook called "Young CEO," designed to help other children develop their own business plans and entrepreneurial skills.

We are incredibly proud to have these young visionaries as part of our CICS Prairie and Distinctive Schools family. Check out their feature story on ABC7 Chicago and shop their books on Amazon!
